The Taj Rambagh Palace Jaipur Experience

In the heart of Jaipur, dwells a dream born from the creative instincts of brothers Paritosh and Priyank Mehta. Driven by their fascination for local crafts and culture, they embarked on an evolutionary journey and interpreted one-of-a-kind trunks to treasure collectibles, passions, tradition, memories.

Trunks Company was a start-up luxury brand that competed with renowned luxury labels such as Louis Vuitton and Goyard to name a few. These iconic brands defined the space and invested heavily in traditional media. As a result, they were better known to market influencers and consumers. After multiple meetings with Paritosh and Priyank, the strategy devised encompassed creative communication and strategic partnerships that would engage and influence key decision-makers in India and internationally.

Architectural Digest India is the leading authority in architecture, design, art and lifestyle news. Its highly researched content, exclusive stories, interviews with top experts and style features are curated to inspire, delight and educate.

The readership profile of the magazine was a perfect match to that of Trunks Company Jaipur’s target audience. The magazine was also well received by the architect community in India, thus making a compelling case for us to pursue a collaboration.

The Collaboration: THE RAMBAGH PALACE JAIPUR & ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST EXPERIENCE

The Rambagh Palace – “a living legend in Jaipur”, exudes an unmistakable sense of history and an architectural masterpiece that transcends time. The idea behind creating this majestic trunk was as unique as Rambagh itself. Avidly, this trunk was the brand’s endeavour at capturing and treasuring the royal grandeur and colourful history of the Rambagh Palace. Built in 1835, this former residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and now a palace hotel evokes images of erstwhile royalty and a history steeped in princely living.

X & Zero pitched The Rambagh Trunk as a behind-the-scene experience to Architectural Digest India. A highly-interactive itinerary imbued with the rich flavour of Jaipur was designed which included a stay at Taj Rambagh suite, personal tour of the Trunks Company atelier to witness the process of craftsmanship and an informal dinner at 1135 AD Amer Palace with the Founders of Trunks Company. This resulted in a three-page editorial coverage and the brand’s introduction to this coveted design magazine.
